The Crime and Disorder Act 1998 defines anti-social behaviour as “acting in a manner that has caused or is likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress to one or more persons not of the same household as the perpetrator”.

Safer York Partnership take reports of anti-social behaviour very seriously. In 2014 we established a new team which is jointly staffed by police officers and Council staff dedicated to addressing all types of anti-social behaviour in York through a mixture of early intervention and prevention and enforcement.
